On the 2024 Lucia by Pisoni Wines

We are thankful to Matt Kettmann of Wine Enthusiast for the recognition he has given the 2024 Lucia by Pisoni wines in the magazine’s October 2026 Buying Guide. His praise of five bottlings across the Lucia portfolio speaks to continued focus on the care that goes into the farming and winemaking behind each bottle.
We are especially honored by the 96 points awarded to both the Garys’ Vineyard and Soberanes Vineyard Pinot Noirs, which Kettmann describes as “powerful while elegant” and “bright in energy yet dark in expression”, respectively. This is overall a wonderful snapshot of the 2024 vintage. Such praise means a great deal to our family, and we thank Matt Kettmann and Wine Enthusiast for reviewing the 2024 vintage.
. . . bold, generous, and yet sharply focused.Matt Kettmann, Wine Enthusiast, on the 2024 Pinot Noir Soberanes Vineyard
This is a bold, generous, and yet sharply focused bottling, starting with black cherry, mulberry, and lush spice aromas that play against a chiseled, detailed backdrop. The palate prominently displays flavors of black cherry, blackberry, and purple flower potpourri, managing to stay both bright in energy yet dark in expression.
Dense, juicy, and lovely aromas of black cherry, strawberry, and chai spice weave into a wondrous nose on this bottling from the historic vineyard shared between the Pisoni and Franscioni families. The palate bursts with boysenberry and pomegranate flavors layered in violet and lilac florals, with hints of fennel pollen on the finish. Powerful while elegant.
Rich aromas of cherry, from black to Bing, meet with chai and nutmeg spice on the lavish nose of this wine. The palate is bold, deep, and dark, with cherry, vanilla, and pie spice flavors. Pointed acidity adds balance.
Smooth aromas of nectarine, macadamia nut, and lemony butter converge on the nose of this bottling. The palate is awash in toasty hazelnut and lemon curd flavors that are cut by a rocky texture and fine acidity that lingers long.
There’s a fascinating combo of tart citrus and wild herb on the nose of this bottling. The palate is zesty and energetic, offering lime sorbet, lemon soda, lychee and Asian pear flavors.
