We’re honored to share that our 2023 Lucia by Pisoni Syrah from Susan’s Hill has been named to the prestigious James Suckling Top 100 Wines of the USA for 2025.
This wine is born from unforgiving and extraordinary terroir. Susan’s Hill rises to over 1,300 feet at Pisoni Vineyards, where shallow granite and schist soils force vines to reach deep into the ground. The constant Pacific winds batter these hillsides, naturally limiting yields and concentrating flavors. This rugged terrain would be inhospitable to most agriculture, but it creates wines of exceptional intensity and structure.
This recognition from James Suckling celebrates not just our family’s dedication, but the power of site—creating remarkable depth, precision, and age-worthiness.
