The 2021 Pinot Noir is outrageously beautiful. . . . quintessential Pisoni.

We are so honored by Antonio Galloni’s praise of the 2021 Pisoni Estate Pinot Noir. Galloni is right–when Gary Pisoni first planted his estate vineyard in the early 1980s, it was “as a passion play.” He could never have anticipated that nearly a half century later, it would define the Santa Lucia Highlands region as the premier source of Pinot Noir. Read the full Vinous review to see how Antonio Galloni marvels at the lush 2021 vintage that has captured a region so definitively.

2021 Pisoni Estate Pinot Noir

The 2021 Pinot Noir is outrageously beautiful. A vivid, sweeping wine, the 2021 captures all the best qualities of this rugged site. Blue/black fruit, cloves, licorice, menthol, lavender and chocolate all build effortlessly, amplified by the wine’s natural intensity and volume. The 2021 is a big, rich wine, but it is also not overdone in any way. Jeff and Mark Pisoni blend their estate Pinot using blocks from the five main soil types found across the property. This is quintessential Pisoni.
